How does a Catholic service usually go for someone that committed suicide?
normally doesn't go, since its a cardinal sin and they'll generally refuse to hold a service for them.
IDK where you live, but I have seen it happen at it does happen, the only difference is that the priests dont mention the suicide
had a grandfather who shot himself years ago, they refused a service for him. maybe its changed since? i've not been involved with catholicism (or really any religion) since i was a baby.
