I lived in LA for a while where nobody is a majority and if you or I said, man, I really need a vacation from Mexicans we would get destroyed. There is only one group you can direct a comment like that towards without being pushed out of polite society, and that fact goes across borders. That sloppiness gives ammo to people who want to say that whites are under attack. To take an example that goes far beyond the OP, recall the asian racist who still works for NYT after spreading her hatred of whites on twitter. Now compare that situation to Marc Lamont Hill getting fired after his comments about Israel and Palestine. The OP goes beyond cultural pride. My wife is a Japanese immigrant and Ive been to plenty of events that are for her group.
