That's not a solution in a world where we segregate based on men and women. It's also not a solution to those who've gone through the transitioning process.
If you're actually interested in fair competition, you should be for more granular criteria for competitive eligibility.
Life isnt fair. The same reason a blind person cant play football is the same reason why a MtF shouldnt play in womens sports. You cant always get what you want.
