Although even Tier 19 is reachable without using Eir, it is just very challenging. You will likely need 2 or 3 Eir if you want to reach Tier 21. The merge bonus is largely overkill right now and it is too soon to see how it affects ranking. Since the top ranking tier is Top 3000, I'm not sure how much the merge bonus will matter. There won't be that many people with 33 Eir. --- Link isn't the only one who kicks ass.
