I moved to a new city in April 2013. I was an avid Tumblr user at the time. When I moved, I typed the city name into the search bar tags, looking for women to talk to (I had previously used Tumblr to meet like 5 or 6 girls in my previous city). Lo and behold she had posted something recently with the city's name as a tag, so I messaged her. She'd just broken up with her previous boyfriend a month ago.

We began talking for about 3-4 weeks, and organised to meet up in the city. That day I had been out and exploring in the city, and it was about 5pm, and I was thinking of just flaking. I was in line at the bus stop to get the bus home, and literally had one foot on the bus when she messaged me "are we still on?" I stopped for a second, and thought "ah fuck it why not", and turned around and went to the bar we had organised for 6pm.

We met, had drinks, were back at my place by 9pm and hooked up 5 times in the first night.

So the things needed for me to actually have met her:

- Moved to the city at the time I did
- Searched the name of the city on that exact night I did
- Her to have broken up with her boyfriend a month ago
- Her to message me at the exact time of me literally with one foot on the bus

She said later that if I had gotten on the bus, she would never have organised to meet again because she never normally would've met with someone she'd met online.

5 and a half years later, we're married now.

Shit is fucking craaazy.
