I think it might be because the chip data mightve whats compromised. The reason I say its nice is becuase its much quicker going places. Like when buying stuff.

Look at the chip and see if you see extra lines carved into it from the readers. Some of the machines are horrible and scratch up the chip pretty badly, so it couldve gotten damaged that way. In either case you might consider going into your nearest bank branch and asking them for a new card that has a working chip because its far more secure and you really dont want to have to deal with missing funds just because the chip broke.
