SE is a bizarre company nowadays. I can't believe they were on top of the world in the early 2000's.
I still think they are capable of making good games. Not as good of a company since the Enix merger tho
Man when that merger first happened I was insanely excited that the two RPG juggernauts had joined forces.
Then the games came out.... I don't remember the games that came out after that merger, but I remember them all being lukewarm at best. Neither company was ever the same after that merger, it was such a stark contrast to the quality of before the merger.
They are starting to pull themselves up again though, this generation has been pretty good for them imo, but I doubt either will ever reclaim the magic of the SNES/Genesis golden years they had.
