Do yourself a favor and throw it away and pick up VII, VIII, IX, or X. II is usually regarded as the worst by almost everyone. III was the first to use the job system, and it was good. II is actually not bad in terms of story. The only real issue was the leveling system and how you got the most benefit out of attacking your own party instead of the enemies. If played normally the game is good, but if broken intentionally the game is... well... broken. Well that's really your own fault if you go out of way to intentionally break a game.
