I blame the internet more then anything. Which it to say, most incels probably start out as relatively normal "losers" but they stumble across these forums and the people in the forums feed off each others negatively in such a way that only amplifies it. It's like when they first go there they might think "Why do I have such bad luck with women" and they are told by the other guys "It's not that you have bad luck, it's that the game is rigged and you never had a chance" and they start to think "Maybe the game was rigged? Maybe I never did have a chance?" and they just sort of go into a hate spiral at that point. Not really much different then any other group built around hating other people to be honest. I mean, obviously it's more complicated then just that, but I think that's a big part of it.
