Why would he lie about how many men she has slept with if he was insecure? Most people dont have to lie about stuff like that. And there are some people who dont sleep around. They also met somewhat young and have been together for years now. So, its not that weird... Also, while you may not have all the time to browse Gamefaqs, it would have made sense to come back to a topic where you asked a question and wanted an answer...

That's not the top priority of my life lol, I just check this on my phone when I have free time or am bored while commuting or something.

And to answer your question, western men seem to get insecure about it because, in spite of their support for women's sexual freedom, they don't like the idea that the woman they're committing themselves to (presumably for most of their life), had sex with numerous men before them.
