Honestly, if this game wasn't so impossibly difficult (I beat it with infinite lives and went through about 50 in the last level alone--default is THREE), it would be a pretty enjoyable random spinoff. And if there were like 2-3 more levels (with the reduced difficulty), this would be a better game than Sonic 2. However, the difficulty is NOT something that can be changed, so this was one of the most frustrating games I've ever played all the way through.
