in the original Diablo, there was a single cow standing off to the side in one part of the town the game is set in. and all you can do is click it and it moos. people online spread a rumor that if you did a series of actions and then clicked on the cow, it made a portal to a secret level. known as the Secret Cow Level. when Diablo 2 was made, Blizzard actually made it real, and put in a cow level in the game as a joke.
