Any of those four options, and probably more, would accomplish something. You know what accomplishes nothing? Moaning about it on Facebook. The IRL asshole is now going about his day having learned nothing. It's like the people who spend all day waiting for Trump to tweet so they can reply and get a few likes from their echo chamber and enjoy their big GOTCHA moment. Like, really?
