The installation is easy. Basically just turn off the PC, plug it in and turn it back on.

You have two options, though.

1. Reinstall Windows on the new drive. This is probably the least-complicated but will take the longest amount of time since you'll need to move everything over from the old drive manually, run updates, install your apps again, etc.

2. Clone the old drive to the new one. You'll need a boot disc of some sort to do this. I like Partition Wizard for the actual cloning process. It's free and very straightforward. You may have issues with the boot sector after cloning, though, which can be a pain to correct. There's also the matter of the drive configuration (GPT, MBR, etc). Can get pretty confusing.
