Very little character development? Almost none of the characters are the way they started out as. They go through multiple levels of human development and every single character copes with the changes in society very differently from others, like the serious guy has his shit together while Simon's head's in the sky, the kids go from being innocent and naive to basically government elitists. Even prominent people like Yoko find very little in terms of where she belongs, and the world's saviors more than not become something like hermits or go on to live very quiet lives. It's pretty reflective of how it happens for our society, except they've advanced their society much quicker than we ever did.

And the plot being weak literally doesn't say anything. Weak how? Where are your specifics? I watched this show like what 5-6 years ago and I have more specifics to say than you do. No one puts up a fight? Multiple prominent main characters dying didn't happen? The fact that they had to transcend human limits didn't happen either? Resolved without conflicts?

Ok, to be clear here, you watched Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann right?
