Topic	Just finished Gurren Lagann yesterday

There was very little character development, the plot was pretty weak, and the battles were resolved without any real conflict. No one really put up a fight at any point. I'm not going to get into an argument about your bad taste in anime on my lunch break at work, but are you serious, dude? Did you not notice Simon's development from a weak willed child who depends entirely on Kamina to a capable leader and his own man? Or Rossio developing into a man who would doubt and betray his allies and abandon most of humanity for a small chance to save any, before finally regaining his trust in Simon? Did you not notice the battle against Thymilph that killed Kamina? Or the battle against Lordgenome that Simon barely scrapped by on? Or the battle against the Anti-Spirals that killed half of the pilots, including Kitan's sacrifice? The final battle that cost them Nia in exchange for freedom from the Anti-Spirals?
