He was a handsome lovely cat. Most animals keep near home to die. Usually out of the house if they can. But not too far. They often do things like curl up under a deck or stairs against the house. Not sure what an indoor cat would do. Cats are predators but they are also prey animals. If a cat is unwell enough to look off it needs to see a vet. They hide symptoms until it's so serious they can't.
