The Magic do a program called Fast Break Pass. They do it for shorter periods too but I did the season. How it works is they randomly allocate your seats from what is available at 90 minutes before tipoff. You can link with friends to ensure you are allocated together. You always get tickets so they must allocate a certain amount of tickets to fast break holders in the worst case scenario / sell out games.

It's very hit and miss. Sometimes (most of the time) you get upper bowl but sometimes you get way better seats. The less tickets you have linked together (i.e. if you are by yourself) the more likely you are to get better seats. I have been allocated suite tickets before. Apparently you have a 40% chance of lower bowl tickets as an individual but I've always done groups of 2 or 3.

Usually what I do is if I get upper bowl tickets I just watch it from the lower bowl bar. If I get lower bowl or better I take the seats. It's all done electronically so you know before you get to the stadium where you are sitting.

Last year it was $400 for the season. Year before $300. Year before that I want to say $200-250. They also do smaller packages where you can get like 4-8 games for like $50-70 total with the same criteria. First year they did it they did first 10 games for $50 total.
