Or it could be they just want to move away from the 90's "evil queen bee" stereotype she started out as. At least Harmony is still as vapid as ever. As for Willow's gf, that's a good thing. I was disappointed she starts out knowing she's gay because that cut outs a major part of the character's journey to discover who she is.
