I'm sure there are people out there, but it's not common. Actively homophobic, as in, vocally opposes homosexuality, would avoid interacting with gay people, etc? I'd say somewhere between 15% and 25%. It's more common than you think, especially in the south. My grandma has fairly liberal views, but she's a radical homophobe and has talked about beating Ellen Degeneres to death on a few occasions. There are still quite a few people, notably older people, who are very opposed to it. At least mildly homophobic, as in, might not be vocal about it, but isn't comfortable with homosexuality and quietly opposes the idea? I'd say around 40%.
