You must be new to console gaming, literally every company releases an upgraded version of their console before the cycle ends. This is a recent trend. No it isn't. Literally PS4 and Xbox One and that's it. They've been releasing new versions of consoles since genesis. The Master System and Genesis are two different consoles and play different games.
