On that note: Paris, Texas (1984) Not super heavy on the "thrill" part, but as a road movie there's the inherent "thrill" of adventuring through America's heartland; plus the entire film is a slowly-unraveling mystery regarding what happened to the protagonist prior to the start of the movie. --- ...
