Well all of that is totally null on you since as town or as scum you could do all that with Tom. And if scum role copped tom (which is increasingly likely if he is a lightning rod) then it's extra easy to set up that you "figured out" his role

I just have a really hard time buying operating under the assumption that a 0 death night comfirms a bodyguard claim but, alas there is nowhere else to go with that point I guess
