I just did dishes by hand most of the time. And I didn't even have a fridge or stove. I bought those. I'll probably sell them when I move unless my landlord wants to buy them from me to keep in the house. She probably won't, though. Also, it's not that embarrassing to have never found a place on your own. It all depends on lifestyles and such. Some have to do it super young, but others not until they're older. Sometimes, not at all. Also, the pet thing is hard. I can't imagine that. I would never let mine go... Were they hers?
