I haven't hear the girl sing (I'm calling her girl because I'm much older than her), but it's only about the voice. Anyone in fiction can be played by anyone appropriate for the role, and most fiction describes mannerisms, posture, hair color, eye color, and other non race stuff. Hell, if Anthony fucking Hopkins can be Othello, shut the entire fuck up about a black Ariel. At the time, if they had Whitney do the voice, y'all would still have been mad? --- -- - ...
