If anything, they should just end the Craig series, wait a few years, then reboot the series again and hopefully make it more like the originals. I'd even be open to a series set in the 60's. Maybe a miniseries on HBO or something would be cool. They might. Or maybe they'll play around with this plot and have Bond takeover as M. There's plenty of stuff they can do.
