This brings up something that's been bothering me at work. We hired this girl, real nice girl, good at her job, like 20 years old. She's like 1/6th Korean and the rest large, white American girl. She's just completely obsessed with the culture, she writes stuff on her paperwork in Korean.

I overheard her talking to a customer the other day, which the lady was clearly Asian with a thick accent. She asked her what her heritage was, and she said she was Korean, and the girl chimes back in excited "Oh me too!" and the woman looked so confused, like why is this chubby American girl claiming she's Korean? She seemed borderline insulted and kind of just said "Ohhhh" and trailed off and then just left.

She wears a different K-Pop shirt to work every day, and says different phrases in Korean all the time. It's honestly starting to annoy the piss out of me.

I'm like 10% Irish, and I don't go to every bro with a red beard and be like "Hey, are you Irish? ME TOO!"

Lmao, thats so embarrassing even to just witness someone like that. Theyre so infatuated with the culture that they base every part of their existence around it and bring it up all the time, whether appropriate or not.

Sort of reminds me how @TheBlueMonk_ was claiming he was Korean because he had a whole 2% Korean DNA on one of those tests. Hed also make multiple KPOP topics a day, it was just so utterly sad.
