And just some additional information, we as a nation are in the middle of a transition from an Industrial Age to an Information Age. The shift is making tasks like assembly and manual labor obsolete. Places like McDonalds will probably be fully automated in a decade or two. So naturally youve got people who dont want to waste their lives on such menial work and want to explore their own self interests. You also have people who dont like change and are clinging to the Industrial Age like some sort of life raft in an increasingly confusing world. tl;dr rabble rabble The industrial age shifted to the service age long ago. There is no information age in that regard, completely different concepts though information is a big contributer to the service age. Now we're shifting from the service age to automation age.
