I know there were a lot of top players who boycotted that tournament, but that still seems to indicate a level of competence to me. I don't think it's an act, because you can see how upset he gets when he isn't winning. To me, the biggest factor in him being bad at games is his refusal to accept that anything is his fault. He didn't do anything wrong, the game did. So instead of learning from his mistakes, like anyone else would, he does the same thing that didn't work the first time, fails again, and yells at the game. There are countless video examples of him refusing to change his strategy even after he's died multiple times.
