I don't know, there sure is a lot of anti-Hispanic sentiment in this country over the last 3 years. Maybe less talk like that could have been an influence. Maybe not but somehow I doubt it helped.

When it's a "terrorism" we as Americans feel we can defeat, we declare a war on it and recognize figureheads and leaders of such groups should be held accountable. When it's a case of a person such as this, we dismiss it as a lone wolf attack that there "was nothing we could do about it". Second time this week a mass shooting has presumably taken place at the hands of a person influenced by these sorts of groups we all like to ignore.

Hard to do anything about it directly when one of the people stoking this is the President of the United States
