Im saying. This whole shaming people everywhere but where they need to be shamed (By people in their actual life) has no impact and it just makes everywhere an angry place when it happens, instead of contained in the places that can actually do something about it. Do you realize how petty this shit is in the grand scheme of things in your actual life?

People give less of a fuck about stuff that happens to their actual extended family members than they do about this shit that has nothing to do with them.

I've spent years volunteering/working with rape abuse victims at shelters and with students. I see a prominent figure in the #MeToo movement calling a victim a liar only to come out and say she was "simply defending a friend" and have no one call for her to be held accountable?

Yeah I'm going to feel a type of way. Victims already under-report as it is. So when a supposed ally does something like this, backtracks and admits their own lie with no repercussions? That's going to cast doubt on people to report their abuse.
