No Final Aeon doesn't mean the world is ruined. The Calms are immensely short. It just means less joy. Sin in of itself cannot wipe everyone out, it's too mindless. Think about it, if this wasn't the case then Seymour's plan would be pointless. You're right about Seymour though.
