Some managed to get into the kitchen and living room. One snake even managed to get into the washing machine. I wouldn't have worried about it too much. Many snakes are quite harmless. If it really bothered you, like other users said, just get a long sharp object and stab the creature. Best to learn this skill for the future in case you cannot call anyone for assistance. In my experience, there's usually more than one snake lurking around. Pittsburgh.
