He's adored in Japan for whatever reason, yet absolutely reviled everywhere in the West, although around here that's changing given how many of us are approaching his age (ugh). However, he's recognizable as a Zelda character that has appeared in several games to this point (Majora, Wind Waker, Four Swords, and probably one or two of the handheld ones IIRC). His only prior match is the one Zen posted, where he got SFFed to death by Link, only attaining joke votes. I give him Fodder Line, personally, because he's so recognizable. He'll get joke votes (though that's not many anymore) and votes from Zelda fans. He will likely advance to Round Two, unless he gets a seriously bad draw like Sonic or Luigi. Gengar: Low Midcarder. Like Magikarp, he's an extremely memorable Gen 1 Pokemon that has a LOT of fans, although he got hit by a major Nerf Bat a couple of years ago which ruined his competitive viability. He's also a ghost. Given how many people probably have used Gengar at one point or another, I see him getting plenty of votes. Sweet Tooth: Mid Fodder.
