I see examples of deuteranopia that show that red turns into a weird muddy brown, but why should that be? shouldn't red still be red if you can't see green? incidentally, a programmer I once worked with (one of the only other programmers I've ever worked with) apparently had full color blindness (no cones whatsoever). the guy just saw black and white.
