Topic	I love JRPGs, yet can't seem to get into the ones before PS1 era.
Ferarri619 08/30/19 8:37:13 PM #1:	I found Dragon Quest IV and V and Final Fantasy IV to be 6/10 at most while Final Fantasy VIII and Xenogears were close to perfect 10s. I feel much more immersed in PS1 and forward, probably because there is more emphasis on atmosphere, story and character development, while NES and SNES JRPGs were mostly typical good vs. evil. I will always love Gameboy Pokemon games because nostalgia I guess... Is my opinion pretty uncommon? Because I see nothing but praise for NES and SNES era JRPGs. I also find it interesting that nobody seems to care about the censorship of these older games from their original Japanese versions. The censorship of JRPGs back then was probably the worst in history, equal or worse than even 4kids anime dubs. --- ~Nintendo 64. Get N or Get out.
