I don't hate that movie at all. Don't love it, but I don't hate it. I was never a big Star Wars guy, so I have no way of feeling like "feminism ruined my childhood" or whatever. I honestly enjoyed Rey a lot, but then again the mary sue type doesn't bother me in storytelling the way it does other people. The biggest problem with that movie is how hilariously awful the entire Poldo/Poe thing is handled. Poe is acting like a rational person and going "uh hey can we fucking DO something so we don't all die?" and just gets told he's an idiot repeatedly. All Poldo had to go was secretly reveal there are spies on board, just trust me, I have a plan. None of that ever happens and it's just laughably terrible. People unfairly hate the entire movie because of it, but I don't even blame them because it was so. fucking. dumb. Poldo was so dumb about it, and I would feel the same regardless of the character's gender. --- Get the X out.
