this is easier then common sense gun laws i suppose

yeah because, as we all know, everyone who owns a gun or has obtained a gun has acquired one legally.

Criminals aren't going to obey your laws.

Criminals aren't going to obey those laws? Guess we better get rid of all the laws we have because criminals are going to break them anyways, so what's the point of having laws right?

And this is why nobody can have a conversation with gun grabbers in good faith - they're unwilling to address the fact that most gun crime in America is committed with weapons that weren't obtained illegally in the first place, so they're unwilling to accept that most gun control legislation would not likely be effective.

Take the assault weapons ban we had in the late '90's - less than a percent drop in gun crime committed with covered weapons, because the covered weapons already make up a very, very low percentage of gun crime no matter how you measure it, despite the tens of millions of dollars it cost to enforce.

No leftist cares about this, however, because they just want to take guns away.
