Basically the idea is that you choose a value, and the right action in any situation is that which brings about the greatest amount of said value. It's also terribly short-sighted utilitarianism that doesn't account for: 1. The emotional damage that someone stealing might have to a victim's long-term behavior and perception of others. 2. The encouragement of future acts of theft the suspect might do thanks to this act being a success. 3. The investment of police resources in investigating this theft and any future thefts the suspect might be encouraged to do. 4. Ect. ect. It's just a nave web comic that doesn't well reflect any philosophy. --- It feels like they're pretending.
