| argonautweakend 09/10/19 1:10:23 PM #8: | here is a joan rivers joke that to me hits on people who think humor is strickly about offense, rather than being funny. she says: "MEXICANS ARE SO DUMB" Okay, at face value that isn't funny but I am also not offended or anything. this alone isn't really humor in the sense its just shock. she says that a couple more times and then talks about Pinatas. "And they hit the pinata. for what? a PIECE OF CANDY!! I could see if Green Cards came out or something, but candy?" At that point I was cackling with delight. thats the funny part. Its an offensive bit through and through(again not offended myself) but it actually had something of a payoff and wasn't strictly "mexicans are dumb" ... Copied to Clipboard! |
