The business doesn't benefit from paying people under the table though, the employees benefit from that.

The only party getting screwed over from people getting paid under the table is actually the government.

Which is why of course, it's technically illegal.
The employees can't claim that income for employment benefits or social insurance. That screws the employees

They may also not have proper coverage for workman's comp

They also don't get any benefits

Employees get fucked over getting paid like that.

You can get paid under the table, then claim you have low income and get benefits from the government. The pay check wouldn't be $0 though, it would a small amount of money, so in the government records you're still employed.

Of course yes, you can take a job that under pays while playing under the table and your boss treats you like crap, but that's also on you.

And youre risking a lot. You can get caught and go to jail... Not to mention having to pay all that money back. But they company itself still benefits. Multiple people have stated how...

Paying under the table is illegal in the first place regardless of how it's done. I'm just saying it's not always 100% the employer screwing over the employee as others are suggesting.

It kind of is. Maybe some place arent screwing them over. But you said businesses dont benefit from it which is false... It seems like they always do...
