I dont know where you saw massively. But they save money by not having to pay for stuff like insurance and stuff. Nor are they required to give stuff like PTO, sick time, vacation. And a bunch of other stuff they save by not having legal employees. Many people have pointed out stuff. They can also cheap out the employees. Not all jobs offer that stuff. But some jobs like to offer some of that stuff. But the company saves money by not having to pay for stuff like that. And the employees cant really fight for right, so... And while they can happen with legal employment, its less likely because you can fight for you rights. And stuff like that... As for the employees, the government might go after al the ones they can. They dont like losing money. Also, those employees also get cheated out of employment they can mentioned. Like for job experience. Theyll have employment gaps.
