I tend to fall in the Achiever quadrant of the Bartle Scale - I like DOING things in games. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartle_taxonomy_of_player_types Exploration is really just a means to an end (I'm going places to find things there, or fill in a map - especially if there are icons on the map that need to be triggered). I kind of need tangible evidence of progress to really enjoy a game.
