I've heard good things about SVU and the real story thing is a plus, but I'm just too turned off to the genre.I suggested Psych exactly because it is so unlike the other "Who Dunnits." It doesn't take itself too seriously, it focuses on the jokes, and still manages to be a decent forensic show. I am not a huge fan, but I really enjoyed the Twin Peaks episode. If you like Twin Peaks, you can just watch that one and be fine. Most American detective shows are just daytime garbage produced at low cost for the aging Boomer generation. If you want something more imteresting, try Sherlock from the BBC (at least the first season).
