I could understand if Paramount just wanted to get out of the theme park business but there's no way that Peanuts is more successful than Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network. I'm guessing it's as simple as Cedar Fair didn't want to shell out for the rights on those, especially since I believe they already had the Peanuts licenses locked down.
