Years ago, I asked you for advice on what sort of nickname I should give myself. You seconded my interest in choosing Quinton, which was important to me. It gave me a self-confidence boost. I held on to that confidence boost every step of the way -- until, at long last, Quinton became my legal name. The shackles of my past finally removed, and I have you -- in part -- to thank for that.

Needless to say, we haven't spoken in ages, but half the reason I'm back here this week is to tell you this. I could have sent a private message, of course, but I'd prefer that the rest of y'all be made aware of the nifty thing Gen did. I'm sure she probably didn't think much of it at the time but it ended up being one of the coolest things anyone here has ever done for me... and that is definitely saying something.
