Kids do need guidance rather than to be pandered to. Especially the younger they are. Otherwise they'll just eat ice cream all day and shit on the floor. Once he's older and if it turns out he's trans or something, then cross that bridge, but at this age? He's probably just emulating his sister innocently and he's gonna get eaten alive when he goes to school. I know "blah, blah, normal isn't a thing" and so on, but the reality is children are assholes and being unnecessarily different only makes your life harder during that time. Kids' brains aren't even developed enough to have their own independently formed opinions in a broader sense until they're about 12.

Letting a 3yo do whatever isn't helping them. I think the mom has good intentions, but she's putting the cart before the horse.
