The conversation was definitely stupid if that's how it went down, but any attempt to destigmatize the necessary disclosure of transmittable diseases is just as dumb. Only 19 states have laws requiring people who are aware of their HIV status to disclose it to sexual partners. Again, if its nontransmittable what is the difference?
