Cake International also denies censorship accusations, saying the cake was not removed from the competition for its political design, but was simply removed from the "competition area." It further claims that while the cake was ultimately disqualified, this came as a result of other factors, namely that part of the design hung over the "allowed area." --- "Genetics is fascinating.
