Actually, it works out... and the CGI Furlong was pretty dang spot on. So much so it could have been deleted footage from 199X
You answered his post with a completely unrelated statement in regards to why he didn't see the movie.

John Conner being killed meaninglessly in the first 5-10 minutes, completely nulling-and-voiding the events of Terminator 1 & 2 does happen.
This is in service of recreating the exact same terminator plot with a new chosen savior and a new AI overlord that also made skeleton robots despite being a completely different AI. ---
